From Glasgow to Saturn by Edwin Morgan

More about this item

Edwin Morgan's second main collection (after The Second Life), and the first to be published by Carcanet Press, includes some of his best-known poems, from the 'Glasgow Sonnets' to 'The First Men on Mercury'.

The title of the book – not taken from any single poem, but describing the breadth of the book's subject matter – has become emblematic of Morgan's work; it was used as the title of a 1990 stage version of his his poems, and inverted in From Saturn to Glasgow: Fifty Favourite Poems by Edwin Morgan (Carcanet/SPL, 2008).
